Van Ross KZN Invitational, Bosch Hoek Tournament Recap
The Van Ross KZN Invitational Tournament took place from 26 to 29 July 2025, at Bosch Hoek Golf Club situated in the Midlands, home to South Africa’s number 1 nine-hole golf course. On the course, we encountered sightings of various antelope species as they spill onto the vlei. Bird Life was a real treat as Bosch Hoek is home to Grey Crowned Cranes, Fish Eagles, and many other birds. Bosch Hoek is one of those enduring classics that has remained faithful to its original design. The Bosch Hoek Lodge with their luxury rooms accommodated us for the tournament and presented us in the evenings with outstanding meals, whereafter we retired to the lounges where we enjoyed some of the finest wine from the Cape Winelands whilst listening to the crackling sound of the fireplaces. Although the temperatures dropped to below zero at night, the days turned out to be beautiful winter days in the Midlands. Bosch Hoek is an extremely challenging golf course, and many of us once again underestimated it and that we could see in the results.

– Round 1 – BB Stableford format, won by Ben & Joanne van Rooyen with 42 BB Points.
– Round 2 – Alternate Combined BB Stableford format, won by Mark & Theresa Horwood with 61
