26 July 2025 – Saturday – Arrival Day

Guests arrived at the luxury Bosch Hoek Lodge with magnificent stylish rooms with air conditioning, underfloor heating and en-suite bathrooms. At the Bosch Hoek Lodge In-House Restaurant the Host welcomed our guests and each guest received his Goodie Bag whilst enjoying our Welcome Dinner.

27 July 2025 – Sunday – Competition Round 1

Although bitterly cold early in the morning, the day turned out superb, with Round 1 of the tournament that started with the first 4-ball teeing off at 11h40. With the Bosch Hoek Golf Course in excellent conditions, Round 1 was won on 42 Stableford Points by Ben & Joanne van Rooyen, with Garth & Taryn Jones C/I as Runners-Up on 41 Stableford Points, whilst Pete & Nicci Taylor and Mark & Theresa Horwood also on 41 Stableford Points being C/O. Joanne van Rooyen smashed the Longest Drive on Hole 9 for the ladies, with Gordon Ross the Longest Drive for Men on Hole 18. The Nearest the Pin was won by Nicci Taylor on Hole 5, Mark Horwood on Hole 7, Frikkie van Brakel on Hole 14, and Neil Louden on Hole 16. They all competed in a 20 m Putting Competition for the Grand Prize of R 10,000, but unfortunately unable to sink their Putts. Hole 5 also offered R 100,000 for a Hole In One, but sadly no takers, better luck next time. Dinner was enjoyed at the Bosch Hoek Lodge, with wine provided from the fairest Cape, enjoyed next to the fireplaces, with temperatures outside dropping to -3 degrees.

28 July 2025 – Monday – Competition Round 2

Another stunning day on the Bosch Hoek Golf Course, with a Combined BB Stableford Competition Format, with Mark & Theresa Horwood walking away with honours with a massive 61 Stableford Points, with Pete & Nicci Taylor C/I as Runners Up on 53 Points, whilst Steve & Sharon Viljoen being C/O. The Longest Drive for Ladies was taken by Theresa Horwood, that also shot an unbelievable 67 Net on the day, whilst Frikkie van Brakel got the Longest Drive for Men on Hole 18. Pete Taylor walked away with NTP on Hole 5, 7, and 16, with Joanne van Rooyen prevented him from getting NTP on Hole 14. Both were unfortunately unsuccessful in sinking their putts during the R 10,000 putting competition. Prizegiving was held prior to our Final Prizegiving Dinner at the Bosch Hoek Lodge. 29 July 2025 – Tuesday – Departure Day

Another successful Van Ross tournament was completed, whilst meeting up with old friends and meeting new friends. Thank you to Bosch Hoek Golf & Lodge for accommodating us at their wonderful facilities, thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Wednesday – 15 April 2026 – Arrival Day

Van Ross Fancourt Guests, representing 10 different Golf Clubs, arrived at the world renown Fancourt Golf Resort, with 21 players experiencing a Van Ross Tournament for the very first time. The evening began with Welcome Drinks at the Pergola at Monet’s, where guests received their Goodie Bags, followed by the official Welcome Address, with Marike Laranjeira set the tone with her live music, creating a vibrant and festive environment. At 19h00, guests enjoyed a delightful Welcome Dinner, reconnecting with familiar faces while also forming new friendships, setting the perfect tone for the tournament ahead. everyone enjoyed their Welcome Dinner, whilst catching up with old friends and making new friends.

Thursday – 16 April 2026 – Round 1 – Montagu, Fancourt

Round 1 was played on the beautiful Montagu Course. The day belonged to the Van Ross Founder Couple, Ben & Joanne van Rooyen with 43 BB Stableford Points, with Runners Up PC Benade & Kholofelo Mamabolo on 42 Points. Longest Drives successes by Mandy Muller for the Ladies and Chad Fanoe for the Men. PC Benade had a fabulous round with a 68 Net, with Joanne van Rooyen achieving a 73 Net.
Nearest the Pin Winners – Chad Fanoe, Warren Solz, Jackie Scott and Jane Sagnelli were called to the putting green for the 20m Putt, with the chance to win R 10,000. Although some got very close, R10,000 will be up for grabs tomorrow again.

Friday – 17 April 2026– Round 2 – Outeniqua, Fancourt

Round 2 was played at Outeniqua. Another beautiful day, no rain, hardly any wind and pleasant temperatures, so privileged. Johann & Marga Liebenberg won the day with a Combined Stableford Score of 74, closely followed by Runners-Up, Indy & Tanja Jacobsen on 71 Points. MJ van Jaarsveld from Port Alfred got the Longest Drive on Hole 8, with Marga Liebenberg hitting the Longest Drive on Hole 17 amongst the ladies, whilst Joanne van Rooyen, Johann Liebenberg x 2, and Tanja Jacobsen were Nearest the Pin Winners, qualifying for the R 10,000 Putting Competition. Marga Liebenberg had the best Net Round of the day with a whopping 66 Net, with Dr Johann Oosthuizen form Rustenburg shooting a 71 Net.

Saturday – 18 April 2026 – Round 3 – Montagu, Fancourt

Another spectacular day at Fancourt. With 54 Alternate Stableford Points Graham & Michelle Gibbons won the day, with Theunis du Preez and Paul Fourie as Runners-Up on 51 Points. Nearest the Pin during Round 3 were Graham Gibbons, Jackie Scott, Tanja Jacobsen and Charles Hulley. 3’s. Longest Drives by Buks van Helsdingen for the Men on Hole 18 and Tanja Jacobsen for the Ladies on Hole 10. Graham Gibbons and Tanja Jacobsen both shot a level Par Net Round.

Sunday – 19 April 2026 – Departure Day

Wednesday – 26 November 2025 – Arrival Day

The Van Ross Shootout Guests arrived at the spectacular Pezula Nature Retreat. At Check-In, Welcome Drinks were enjoyed by our guests. At 18h00 everyone gathered at Noah’s Bar, where Goodie Bags were handed out followed by the Welcome Address, with Marike Laranjeira providing music entertainment, creating a festive environment. At 19h00 everyone enjoyed their Welcome Dinner, whilst catching up with old friends and making new friends.

Thursday – 27 November 2025 – Round 1 – Pezula

Competition Round 1 at the beautiful Pezula Championship Golf Course. The day belonged to Clive Gallienne & Jackie Scott with 43 BB Stableford Points, with Runners Up Johann & Marga Liebenberg on 42 Points. Longest Drives successes by Nicci Taylor for the Ladies and Riaan Liebenberg for the Men. Nearest the Pin Winners – Graham Gibbons, Hennie Smit and Riaan Liebenberg were called to the putting green for the 20m Putt, with Hennie Smit sinking the Putt winning himself R 10,000.

Friday – 28 November 2025 – Round 2 – Knysna

Competition Round 2, at the Knysna Golf Club. It was a beautiful day for most of the round, then unfortunately called off with 2 to 4 holes to play due to thunderstorms. Graham & Michelle Gibbons won the day with a Combined Stableford Score of 72, closely followed by Runners-Up, Pete & Nicci Taylor on 71 Points. Clive Gallienne got the Longest Drive on Hole 11, whilst Joanne van Rooyen and Gordon Ross were Nearest the Pin Winners. Nicci Taylor had the best Net Round of the day with a whopping 69 Net.

Saturday – 29 November 2025 – Round 3 – Simola

The Final Round starts with miserable rainy weather conditions at Simola, with 2 x 4 Balls deciding to stop halfway through their round. Counted In on 50 Alternate Stableford Points Charles & Jenny Hulley won the day, with Ben & Joanne van Rooyen Counted Out as Runners-Up also on 50 Points. Pete Taylor & Graham Gibbons shared Nearest the Pin on Hole 6, Stroke 1, with Elsabe Hoal, Jenny Hulley & Cheryl Murphy Nearest the Pin Winners on the other Par 3’s. Clive Gallienne again smashed the longest drive under the men, with Nicci Taylor winning Longest Drive for the ladies on hole 8.

Sunday – 30 November 2025 – Departure Day

Another successful Van Ross Golf Tournament comes to an end in the Garden Route. New friendships formed and a great time enjoyed by all, despite the weather conditions.
