Birdies for Charity
Our golfers’ enthusiasm to make a difference inspired the Birdies for Charity initiative. We’ve introduced a scoring system, where players can contribute based on their performance:
– Par: R10.00
– Birdie: R20.00
– Eagle: R50.00
– Albatross: R100.00
– Hole-in-One: R500.00
The automated scoring calculation is based on the following:
– 3-Pointers: Par
– 4-Pointers: Birdie
– 5-Pointers: Eagle
– 6-Pointers: Albatross
Every contribution, no matter how small, counts towards a good cause. Players are welcome to donate more to this project, and we appreciate their support in making a meaningful difference in these children’s lives.

Nourishing Young Minds and Bodies
In partnership with the Atterbury Foundation and Start Well, we’re dedicated to providing daily, nutrient-rich meals to underprivileged preschoolers in disadvantaged communities. Our focus is on ensuring these children receive bioavailable, high-protein meals during their critical early development phases.

The Start Well Solution
Start Well introduced the Start Well Grow Meal in 2018, specifically designed to nourish toddlers and children aged 18 months to 6 years. Recognizing the need for a nutrient-rich option for babies, they launched a cereal in 2023, scientifically formulated for infants aged 6 to 18 months. This cereal provides a wholesome introduction to solids and complementary food for babies, with a preservative and colorant-free composition.

Impact and Cost
Providing a child with a daily meal costs approximately R960.00 per annum, translating to just R2.63 per meal. With the Atterbury Foundation’s support, these meals are delivered to selected pre-schools, where we monitor the children’s progress and provide feedback to our Birdies for Charity contributors.
